Psalm 101 Sovereign's Pledge of Integrity and Justice From the
NRSV Spark Bible...Recite and Share

I will sing of loyalty and of justice; to you, O Lord, I will sing.
I will study the way that is blameless.
When shall I attain it?
I will walk with integrity of heart within my house;
I will not set before my eyes anything that is base.
I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not
cling to me.
Perverseness of heart shall be far from me; I will know
nothing of evil.
One who secretly slanders a neighbor I will destroy,
a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not tolerate.
I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, so that they
may live with me;
whoever walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me.
No one who practices deceit shall remain in my house;
no one who utters lies shall continue in my presence.
Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land
cutting off all evildoers from the presence of the Lord.

Prayer For The New Year(Based On 2 Corinthians 5:17)
RECITE AND SHARE!

Light of the World,
As the old year bids us its farewell,
and the new year settles in,
We seek newness in our relationship with you,
In our understanding of who you are as
Our Father,
In our understanding of who you are as our friend,
In our understanding of who you are as our
disciplinarian,
We also seek newness in the ways we share our
experience of the ways you've influenced our lives,
The ways you gotten through our toughest challenges,
the knowledge we gained in learning your ways,
The blessings you've answered for us,
and the ways we were able to be a blessing to others
because we followed Your example.

In Jesus Name We Pray,
Amen

Prayer For Advent

Lord of Lords,
We, like anxious children, keeping vigil
wait with excitement and anticipation
of your coming.
We open our minds to the Truth Your Word
holds for us,
We open our hearts as an invitation to inscribe
Your teachings on our hearts as instruction for
our lives,
We open our eyes to You so we can see each other
as You see us,
And we rejoice with outstretched arms for the salvation
You bring to the world!

Amen

Freedom Is Not Free(Based on Galatians 5:16&! Peter 2:16)

Posted on July 5, 2018 at 5:22 PM Comments comments (241)
Life Question: In what way should we use our freedom
with respect to each other?

Independence. We celebrate it(as we did yesterday), we
can't wait to grow up and achieve it, we value it in our
ability to think and live independently.
Our servicemen and women continue to defend our freedoms
today, as well as that of others who are oppressed around the
world.  People who live in restricted and hostile nations continue
to fight for their freedoms to worship openly, to have a voice for
their concerns and to share what they are passionate about
in their lives.
Freedom is not free however, when there are oppressors and
suppressors in this world who use their own freedom to deprive
their people their right to speak for themselves, express themselves
through their talents and abilities and commit evil against their
own, then covering it up afterwards.
Our freedom it not free. We were given freedom through the death
of Christ for our sins. Yet, there are those who still don't full grasp
what that means and entails. We have true freedom when we
walk in the Spirit and not give it to fleshly or worldly desires. We
have freedom when we commit to serving our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ and putting his Truth out into the world without fear,
without shame and without worry of what others will say to us.
By freeing ourselves of the bondage of what the world thinks
of what we should or should not do, and instead focus our thoughts
on what our Lords and Savior knows we need to do, we will have a
freedom that is beyond anything that the world can promise us with
only its words. Happy July 4th! May this message be a blessing to all
who read it.

Blessings,
Liz Ciccone

I Am The Way, And The Truth, And The Life

Posted on June 12, 2018 at 6:53 PM Comments comments (184)
A few weeks ago, my pastor spoke on a topic that confused others,
intrigued some and left others still scratching their heads......what was
it you ask?.....the Trinity.
I was taught about the Trinity in Sunday school. Must admit, sure had
me scratching my head. Didn't really have at that young age, a good
grasp on the subject myself.
Through the years I tried to ask my pastor of my former church. He didn't
really give me a good answer, at least, not an answer a child could
understand with clarity. My parents were not a resource I could
go to, as they are not true believers. So for a very long while I was
stuck, like many for answer.
When I was able to be out on my own, was when my search to understand
the Trinity became a journey for me. How is God three people? Isn't He
One? The journey for the answer to this question seemed like it took forever
to be answered. Until finally after years of searching and prayer. My question
was answered. It made perfect sense to me, my hope for all reading this
post, that it will make sense to you as well:

God is our Father who created the world and all that
is in it,
God is the Son who came in human form to walk among
his people to preach, teach and guide them in the Way
that leads to life,
God is the Holy Spirit who resides in the hearts of all who are
his children.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.

Blessings,
Liz Ciccone

Prayer For Memorial Day(Based on John 15:13)

True Vine,
We pray for our fallen servicemen and women
of our country and those beyond our borders who,
with honor, bravery and distinction protect us and
their fellow countrymen.
They laid down their lives for not only their own,
but the lives of those whose countries they were
defending in the name of freedom and independence.
Let us lead by their brave, selfless example by standing
up for those who cannot fight for themselves.

In Jesus Name We Pray,
Amen

Today's Prayer(Based on Romans 12:1-2)

Prince of Life,
As children of God, we are not to conform
to the world, we ask to be transformed
and renewed in our minds through
the resting of the Holy Spirit in our souls
for the rippling transformation throughout our bodies,
so that we can then stand  before you as living sacrifices
equipped and ready to do your will. We want a life in You
alone.

In Jesus Name We Pray,
Amen
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------                                                Tonight's Prayer(Based on 2 Thessalonians 3:3)

Prince of Life,
As we ask for a transformation of our lives from You,
we also ask for the strength we need to carry it out.
We ask for the Shield of faith, for the belt of Truth, we
for You to shod our feet with the gospel, we ask for you
to fit us with the breastplate of righteousness, to place in
our hands the sword of the Spirit.....so that we will have salvation
in the end.

In Jesus Name We Pray,
Amen
