Be strong and let us fight bravely for
our people and the cities of our God.
The Lord will do what is good in his sight. 2 Samuel 10:12
Life Question: Are You A Warrior For God?
When we think of being warriors, what do we think of? Soldiers marching
with their weapons at the ready, soldiers cutting down their enemies
with one swing of their fearsome swords, using strength to overcome
evil.....but that's not where the fight starts. The fight starts as one of my
favorite pastors, Dr. Charles F. Stanley, so eloquently put it, "you fight
your battles on your knees in prayer to the Father who created you."
Front-Line Ministry Workers in restricted and hostile nations are doing
what Dr. Charles F. Stanley has said to do for as long as I have followed
his television ministry. I believe he's onto something with that statement.
Many of these Front-Line Workers face danger in bring God's Word to
those who desperately need/want to hear it and bring it also to those
who do not know Jesus Christ and want to have a relationship with Him.
Do you know of someone who is unchurched or never even been to
a church? Think of what a void that is in the life of someone going through
a trial and no one is there for them to lean on.
God invites all of us to His table and promises we will not go away from
him hungry because his word satisfies those who seek it. This is why the
Front-Line Ministry in restricted and hostile nations is so important.
Those who face such severe consequence and oppression need relief.
That relief can only come from standing strong in the strength of Jesus
Christ and being a warrior for him! The work of The Voice of the Martyrs
in this Great Commission for our Lord and Savior is a way for us to stand
with our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ and pray with/for them.
Check out the Adopt A Front-Line Worker Ministry and give hope to a worker
who needs it. Just go to www.persecution.com and click on the 'Get Involved'
link for the information!
As always, draw near to God and he will draw near to you as he has
promised in his word.
Blessings,
Liz Ciccone
