Holloween, Christmas, New Years Eve.....but wait!.....aren't we forgetting something??? THANKSGIVING!!!
as the years have gone by, I've noticed more and mor how Thanksgiving has been all but obliterated from our minds and hearts. My question is how did this happen??? In my observation it is because we have lost the meaning of what Thanksgiving is about. It's not only about being thankful for what we have, those who are in our lives or giving us really cool stuff to fill our homes with. It's about
about acknowledging God's presence in our lives, about thanking His Son for the sacrifice He made for us all and for making us heirs to the promises of His Kingdom.
I do not walk away with clean hands, for I am guilty of looking away too, guilty because I've not made the time for Him that He has made for all of us.
I have heard some say, "what is there to be thankful for??"
God created this planet on which we live and supplied it with all the necessities we needed to live, grow and prosper.
He created the languages we speak so we could learn from each other.
He gave us gifts and talents of different kinds so we would connect with each other, and together, we could use them.
He created our bodies so that we would be a living testament to His power and glory. HOW CAN WE NOT BE THANKFUL FOR THAT?????
The Lord invites us to his table to break bread with Him, let's all reciprocate and make a family member at ours. AMEN!
