And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life
is in his Son. 1 John 5:11
Life Question: So.....Will You Do It?!
Well, it's the last blog post to round out the Christmas season! YAY! If you
ask
what it is that our Lord and Savior wants for his Christmas birthday present!
HE WANTS YOU!
He wants to be a blessing in the lives of his children. He
wants to be a blessing in the lives of those who are going down the broad
road of destruction, he wants to be a blessing in the lives of those who are
struggling with those who have lost all faith and hope and are engulfed in
pain, he wants to be a blessing in the lives of those who have lost all sense
of who they are, he wants to be a blessing in the lives of those who have
been abandoned, he wants to be a blessing in the lives of those who suffer
with low self-esteem, he want to be a blessing in the lives of those who suffer
oppression, suppression and persecution, he wants to be a blessing in the lives
of those who have not yet heard of him and his kingdom!
I could go on and on.....but I think you get the picture(hee! hee!)! Just
like Peter did when Jesus called for him to come to him out on the water, and
he came,
David who slayed Goliath. THEY ALL COMMITTED THEMSELVES TO JESUS!
They put their lives in his hands, they took up their crosses and followed him.
I know what many of you out there will say, "How can I trust Him? How can I
know he will do right by me and my loved ones if even those I love have
walked away from me?? I'LL TELL YOU! He will NEVER leave NOR forsake you!
He gives us his word. The difference between the human promise and God's
promise is that God's promises are eternal and without conditions attached to
them.
There's also a difference in what the world gives us and what God gives us.
What the world gives us is temporary....what God gives us is, I reiterate, ETERNAL!
The world can only give us what can be seen or touched with the eyes and
hands, what God gives his children is far beyond the reach of human hands,
imagination or comprehension!
So as we gather around our trees to give to each other our gifts, will you give
Jesus Christ the gift of your life in commitment to him and start a whole new
journey with eternity in view??
