The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner

depths of his heart. Proverbs 20:27

Life Question: "What is your response when your faith is out of

balance?

We are well into the Lenten season and I can say with all honesty, my journey has been fraught with nothing but obstacles. Lent, in the life of every believer is a time of reflection, self-sacrifice, meditation and prayer. All these have eluded me and left me feeling very much

out of balance in my relationship with my Savior and Father. I feel much like the character Sleeping Soul, in my book 'The Sleeping Soul'. Sleeping Soul loses her spiritual footing  and is faced with a long journey ahead of spiritual testing on her way to restoring that which has been lost.

She is led to question many things along her journey:

"What do I do now that I lost Belief?"

"How did my faith become so out of balance?"

"How do I find my way back again?"

How many of you have had a similar experience in your own walk with God?

Speaking from my own experience, when I find myself in this situation I withdraw, isolate and instead of turning to my Savior and Father, shame overtakes me because of the feeling of fear of how

He will see me because I have yet again, lost my spiritual footing.

How many of you can relate to this feeling?

Isaiah 28: 11-12 says, God will speak to this people..."This is the resting place, let the weary rest." and, "This is the place of repose."

For this Lenten season, let us together who struggle in our faith, who feel out of balance work together and be the coaches for those who are lost so that their spiritual balance can be found again! AMEN!

Blessings,

Liz Ciccone
