Messiah,

In my sufferings I go through, help me to rejoice 

instead of resenting them.

In my sufferings I go through, help me to persevere

and not to shrink away from them.

You O Lord are the one who looks not at the outside

of humankind, but at the heart. From my heart, help me

to produce character, and from out of character, hope.
