Some months back I started my book 'An Independent Life', due to
a detour on its way to completion, my journey has expanded to include that of Human Rights activist.
Didn't ever imagine being a Human Rights activist, though I've always been one to come to the aide of others. So when the wife of one of my former bosses told me of The Voice of the Martyrs, I had to learn more.
Being one of the many who help our persecuted family has widened my persepctive not only as a human being, but also, as a writer.
Being a part of VOM has not only helped me to examine my faith but through that examination, come to understand how God and His Son are an encourager for those who have been shunned into silence.As a writer, no the supernatural power of God will continue to work through me in ways I have not even thought of yet! Knowing God, it will be more than I could have ever done for myself on my own.
The other part of my spiritual journey was completed in November when I finished the last of my Lay Speaking classes! As a writer I wanted to serve God with the gift of writing he gave me, being a Lay Servant was one of the other ways I could do that. Though sharing one's faith is always a risky thing to do because we never know what kind of response we'll get in return, regardless, we must
