Prayer For Independence Day

(Based on 1 Peter 2:16)

Almighty God,

We live as free people, but are not always

using our freedom in a responsible way.

Freedom without responsibility is chaos,

Freedom without accountability allows for us

to become ensnared,

Freedom without regard for others is not what 

what you called for us as your people to follow.

As Your children we ask you to teach us so that 

we will approach others with humility,

So we will approach others with gentleness,

So we will approach others with righteousness,

So we will approach others with an open heart,

So we will approach  others with an open mind

and be an example of Your Spirit on Earth.
